Poem: Bitter Reunion

Don't mistake
my silence
for forgiveness -
Because it's not.
Don't mistake
my smile
for reconciliation -
Because it's not.
Don't mistake
my laughter
for trust -
Because it's not.
Don't mistake
my conversation
and questions
for respect -
Because it's not.
Don't mistake
my flirtation
and charm
for intimacy -
Because it's not.
I can't stand you
for an evening,
what makes
you think
I'd want
your company
on more
than this
obligatory
reunion.

(Just so no one is mistaken,  this is PURELY A WORK OF FICITON. It is in NO WAY AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL. )
