Poem: Hormonal Revelation

Hormonal revelation,
emanating,
from a pair
of double D's,
housed,
in a modest sweater.
They look,
I mean,
you look,
just like
your picture
on:

Hormonal revelation,
received,
south,
of the Mason-Dixon
line.
My thoughts
are those,
only of purity,
and of Eternal progression.
I'm so happy to be
in Utah County.
What is
your name again?
Do you
have a pulse?
We're meant
to be together!
It has been
revealed,
to me,
we've known
each other,
intimately,
since the preexistence!
Our impending union,
sweeps across time!
Will you marry me?
On one knee,
I place upon
your finger,
my CTR ring.
Is it too soon?
The last
half an hour
together,
has felt
like a lifetime!
Let's get sealed,
this morning,
and get
to making babies,
tonight!

Photo and Gardening: Buds and Blossoms - Purple Petal Perfection

Poem: "Strawberry Shortcake" (D) 71

"Strawberry Shortcake":
Number 71,
Defensewoman.
Overgrown,
"wild and uninhibited",
springy red
curls -
Trapped,
desperately escaping
from under her helmet.
A steely,
emerald gaze;
"Rockem', Sockem'"
hip check,
into the wall.
Assault and battery,
by a freckle faced
terror,
on ice skates.
A lady,
in every sense
of the word.

Poem: Dirty Brunette Hair

Plentiful and strait,
dirty brunette hair,
a weaver's dream,
in a bun -
Loose and bothered.
Feathery lashes,
veil
bedroom
hazel eyes.
Glistening
brown skin,
passionately kissed
by the steamy
Summer heat.
Cheshire smile -
Devilish dimples
on each cheek.
Full figured woman,
curves,
in all
the right places:
voluptuous,
bawdy
and spirited.

Poem: Old Memories and Faded Pictures

Don't fall in love
with old memories
and faded pictures.
Recollections
and remembrances of:
high school crushes
and college romances,
enhanced,
by the forgiving
vision of time.

Poem: Angels in Name and Otherwise

Angels in name
and otherwise -
Fair haired,
translucent muse;
gossamer pixie.
Weightless,
delicate articulation -
Ethereal whispers.
Soft,
gentle eyes -
sympathetic perception.
Manifest in vision -
Pearl
Summer dress
with a wildflower
pattern -
Married,
to lace
and embroidery.
Tranquil caress;
Sunny embrace.
Lingering remembrance.

Poem: The Names Have Been Changed to Protect the Innocent

The names
have been changed
to protect the innocent:
A good friend
once told me,
let's call her
Daisy,
"Don't say
Heck,
if you mean
Hoboken."
"Don't say
Darn,
if you mean
Detroit."
"Don't say
Shoot,
if you mean
Salt Lake City."
"Don't say
Fudge,
Phooey
or Freakin',
if you mean
Fresno,
Fargo
or Fort Collins.
Don't say
Jeez,
if you mean
Jackson Hole."

Poem: Family Vacations - Southern Utah II

Family Vacations -
Southern Utah:
Arches -
Menacing charcoal
clouds,
an ominous
backdrop,
extracting sharpness
and clarity.
A lightening show
commences -
Frenetic flashes,
of nature's
illuminating wonder.
The angry
and volatile horizon -
Alive,
with unharnessed
and quickened energy
and electricity,
animating
the diverse shades
of orange and red,
found in the Entrada
and Navajo Sandstone;
Defining incandescence,
exposing the naked
and vulnerable
sublime features,
of the arches,
fins and towers
of Delicate,
The Organ,
The Fiery Furnace
and Tower of Babel.
Canyonlands -
The sculpting
canyon artistry
of the Colorado
and Green Rivers.
Pulsing muscle current
confluence eventuality.
The boundlessness
of a pastel blue
celestial sphere.
A winding road,
riding amidst
a Martian landscape,
gazing upon
inexhaustible
and austere
canyons,
mesas and buttes:
Island in the Sky,
Cataract and Horseshoe
Canyons;
White Rim
and Mesa Arches;
Cedar Mesa
and Windgate Sandstone.
Limestone accents
and features.
On foot,
to discover
hidden treasures
of veiled grace -
Allusive
desert blooms.
The birth child
of the strained tears
of parched clouds
and hardened
and stony earth.

Poem: Family Vacations - Southern Utah I

Family Vacations -
Southern Utah:
Road trip,
in the back
of a packed
pick up truck.
Pine Valley -
Pitching
the Catepillar tent;
Watermelon
and the Cooler
in the creek;
Hooking a worm
on the shore;
Lighting
the Coleman
Lantern,
as daylight begins
to flicker.
Playing cards
into the wee hours
of the morning.
Cedar Mountain,
Navajo Lake -
A fishing line,
covert
and clandestine,
submerged
in the water;
Engrossed
in a good book.
Cedar Breaks,
Zions,
Bryce Canyon -
Explosion
of color,
asymmetry
of line
and shape.
Weathering
and erosion
tell the tale
of time
and the elements,
inspiring
day hike
exploration.
Escalante -
Hiking
the Devil's Backbone,
panoramic
high desert;
Posey Lake,
forest shoreline,
heavy sky,
spring snow
falling,
the fish
manically biting
in cacophony.

Poem: Sunrise in the Rear View Mirror

Driving down
a country road
with the sunrise
in the rear view
mirror.
Saturated
yellow orb
burns
with intensity.
Wind break
trees,
spanning
the generations,
weathered,
yet triumphant,
stand resolute
as scepters.
Early morning
fog
hovers over
the tree lined
river
and above
the glistening
dew
blanketed
fields.
A dream
state -
Lavender
and salmon
hues
fill
the sky.

Poem: Golden Locks

Golden locks -
spun from gold;
"soft as silk."
Twinkling
eyes,
like the stars
that light
the midnight
sky -
breathtaking;
Their kindness
of infinite
expanse.
Her laughter
echoes
the giggles
of children;
Illuminating
all
around her.
