Poem: Easter bonnets

Easter bonnets;
Pastel ribbons;
Spring dresses -
Pink, yellow
and blue.
Chocolate bunnies;
Eggs submersed,
in a baptism of color.
Twins to the tulips,
blossoming,
in the garden -
Rainbow cornucopia.
Easter egg hunt,
on the meadow
green -
Cherub angels,
abound,
in joyful
discovery!
Easter Lillies,
mark the rebirth
of Spring.
He lives!
The Savior
has risen!
Triumphant over
death and sin!
King of kings!
The Father of all!
The Tomb of
Joseph of Arimathea
lies empty.
Rejoice!
Shout hallelujah!
Arms folded,
give prayerful
thanks.
A feast
in his honor.
A table
of plenty.
Surrounded
by family
and friends.
