Poem: Nature's maternity

Nature's maternity:
The Sun's
life giving rays;
The fertile dew
blankets
the dormant
soil
and vegetation.
Budding
"baby bumps";
Gestating
seeds,
incubating,
in the warmth
of the soil.
The erratic
and volatile
days of
Spring -
Thundering
and pastoral.
Labor pains -
Flower pedals
struggle
to blossom
from the
secure shell
of the bud.
Bursting forth,
breaking through
the top soil -
A seedling
transforms,
carrying forth
the legacy
of the family
of plant life,
to which
it belongs.
An eternal
and infinite
heritage.
