Poem: Mountain road

Mountain road;
Two lane paradise.
Winding -
High country
solitude.
Douglas Fir,
Lodgepole and Ponderosa
Pine -
Sweeping and infinite.
Hallowed artistry
by the hand of God.
Long's peak -
Austere;
Majestic.
Rejuvenating mist;
Unblemished breath.
Rustic
log cabin.
Suspended in time.
Woodpile;
Mountain dweller
crafted
rock fireplace.
Chimney smoke.
The perfume
of elevated bliss.
